Sabhan Adam and an Art Dealer

I was away over Christmas visiting family and I came across this painter that I found inspiring. Check out his webpage. He is a bit of an outsider artist with no formal education. He used to be a poet and then taught himself how to paint. Check out his work from collection number 4.

I went to an art dealer and saw him at work. Some rich people were trying to buy paintings to put in their chelsea appartment. The language of buying and selling art was fascinating. Not something I felt comfortable with really but it left an impression. The buyers were asking about age of the artist and they even asked about the artist temperment. I didn't like talking to the art dealer though. He was scary. That's where I saw some painting by sabhan that I really liked.
